Marriage is a public commitment by two individuals who love and respect
each other. It is more of an oddity today as many couples chose to opt out of a
legal commitment to nurture one another in love in good and bad times,
sickness and health, prosperity and poverty till the end of their days. Marriage
is hard work. It takes much personal fortitude in compassion, understanding,
negotiation, love and forgiveness to achieve life-long success.
St. Mary Magdalen's Mission strongly encourages two people in love and in
friendship to seek the life-long union of marriage. We will solemnize the
marriage of any two single or divorced adults regardless of gender, sexual
orientation, race or creed. We are a Christian denomination with Interfaith
affiliations and can provide a wedding service that is secular, spiritual,
Interfaith, Christian or Catholic. Fr. John can provide a full Mass with
communion, a modest elopement ceremony in the Pastor's study, or anything
in between at a location of your choice within the four western counties of
Massachusetts--Berkshire, Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden counties.
For those couples who wish to discuss their intentions in sessions of private
counsel, Fr. John is always available to offer his help.
Rates and fees for the Mission services are listed below. Our clergy take no
renumeration for offering their sacramental services other than expense
reimbursements. All checks should be made payable to St. Mary Magdalen
Interfaith Mission.
